Financial Security

Money may not buy happiness, but it can bring peace of mind and the ability to invest in the people and things that make you happy. That’s why Boise Cascade strives to provide competitive compensation and tools to help you make the most of your hard-earned funds.

Competitive Pay

Boise Cascade’s Total Rewards are based on the belief that it’s much more than a paycheck that motivates people to work at our company. We know your bottom line matters just as much to you as our bottom line matters to the success of our company. So our Total Rewards begin with a pay philosophy that includes:

  • Base pay, which is structured on the external market cost-of-wages and internal equity. Both perspectives are reviewed on an annual basis to ensure our competitiveness.
  • Bonuses, which are provided to recognize and reward achievement of goals aligned with our business objectives (for eligible positions).

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for Dependent Care

If you have work-related childcare costs for children under age 13, the Dependent Care FSA can help you lower your taxable income and pay for your childcare costs at the same time. The Dependent Care FSA can also be used to pay for the care of an incapacitated spouse or dependent parent.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for Healthcare

We help make your healthcare dollars go further by offering a Healthcare FSA. When you sign up for the Healthcare FSA, you can set aside pre-tax dollars to use for eligible healthcare products and services for you, your spouse, and your dependents. Because FSA dollars are deducted from your paycheck before taxes, it reduces your taxable income and generates savings for you.

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

Boise Cascade’s HRA is one way we help you cover the rising cost of healthcare. The HRA is a company-provided account you can use to pay for healthcare expenses. You automatically receive an HRA when you enroll in Boise Cascade’s medical benefits (salaried employees only). If you don’t have healthcare expenses during the year, the unused balance carries over to the next year and the next. Over time, you can build up a healthcare nest egg to help pay for significant healthcare expenses if/when you have them.

Insurance Benefits

Even the best-laid plans can go awry. That's why Boise Cascade offers company-paid insurance, including life, accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), and disability (insurance type and coverage level varies by location). This coverage is intended to give you and your family peace of mind if the unexpected happens. If you want more insurance than is provided and paid for by Boise Cascade, you can add additional coverage.

When it’s time for you to retire, Boise Cascade wants you to be prepared for and happy about the next stage in your life.

We offer a competitive 401(k) Savings Plan, which includes contributions from the company, to help you save for the future (for those eligible).
